Creating a Parts Estimate

Parts Estimates can be created for several reasons. A Parts Estimate can be created for a specific customer who needs pricing for a group or list of parts.  It can also be created for a specific group of parts that are always sold together.

Parts Estimates do NOT affect your parts Quantity On Hand or AFS (Available for Sale).

Part Estimates can be converted into a Parts Sales Order that can then be converted into a Parts Invoice, or the Parts Estimate can be converted directly into a Parts Invoice.

A generic Parts Estimate can be created using your Cash Customer default then converted to a Parts Sales Order using your customers name. Pricing will update according to the customer setup.

These instructions will cover the basics of creating a Parts Estimate.  Due to different scenarios and uses not all examples can be covered.  Should you have a particular situation that is not covered in these instructions please contact Customer Support for assistance.

To create a new Parts Estimate navigate to:

Inventory > New > Estimate

A new Estimate screen will open.  Enter your search information to find your Customer Master.

Item Numbers are added using either the Item Number box, or the F4 Item Search button.

Once you have added all line items to the estimate, click Save at the top left of the document.

Depending on your preference, you can convert the estimate directly to a Sales Order or Invoice.

If converted to a Sales Order, the document may be edited and saved for settling at a later time.

If converted directly to an Invoice, you will need to complete the settlement process at the time of conversion.
