Price Book Defaults

Price Book Defaults will help ensure that new parts added to your inventory from a manufacturer's price file will have the correct Pricing Source, Accounting Source, Stocking Source, and Stock Class.

You will have one Pricing Source, Accounting Source, and Stocking Source that is assigned as the “Default”. In the event that Price Book Defaults are not set up, the Default in each of these will be used when adding new parts from a manufacturer's price file.

PriceBook defaults are location specific. If you are a multi-location dealer, you will have Price Book Defaults in each location that are maintained separately.

You can find price book defaults in the Location Support lists.

Your Price Book Defaults are associated with the OEM Vendor of the Item Master.

The Price Book Default will open showing blank Sources.

Each of the Sources will have a drop down to enable you to select the proper Source(s) to apply.  The Stock Class will also havea drop down to enable you to select the Stock Class as well.

Once you have selected the Sources to apply and Stock Class to apply, click OK to save your changes.

Price Book Defaults are applied when adding new Item Master to Inventory.
