UPCOMING: New Permissions - Summer/Fall 2025 Release
We have added a number of new permissions in the upcoming release. We recommend that you review these permissions and determine if you will need to make any updates to applied default permissions during the release process. The list below reflect the actual verbiage of the permissions in the system.
Please note that new permissions are added to the system with a status of Unchecked unless otherwise noted. You will need to grant these new permissions to your users that perform the specific function that is being restricted after you have received the software release.
Accounting/Admin
- Journal Entry View Only - This permission will allow a user to open and view journal entries, but it will restrict the user from editing the document.
- Ability to access Column Chooser - Allows a user to right-click and select Column Chooser on the grids in the system when checked. If unchecked, the user will only be able to access fields that are in layouts or in their default layout on reports and grids. This permission grants additional control over the data an employee can access in their login. If unchecked, the user will be restricted from accessing the column chooser. Released Status = Checked.
- Change Customer Default Payment Type - Allows a user to assign the default payment type on the Customer Master Record. Once your customer master is open, this field can be edited on the Details tab in the Other Options section below the Tax Exempt Expiration Email Address field. You can review the help document on how this feature works to assist in determining who should be granted this permission.
Inventory Module
- Ability to Manually Add an Item Master - This will give a user the ability to click on Inventory > New > Manually Add Inventory Item or on Add New on lists and pop-ups to manually set up a part master.
Wholegoods
- Ability to change Wholegood status to AFS - This new permission gives a user the ability to change the status of any wholegood from Sales/Sold or Other/N/A to Sales/AFS. Please review the help documentation specific to these new features to determine which users should be granted this permission. It is recommended that granting of this permission be restricted to a few users who are fully trained on the feature.
- Wholegoods Inventory Report - Allows a user to access and view the Wholegood Inventory Report which can be found at Reports > Wholegoods > Wholegoods Inventory Report.
Rental Module
- Ability to edit Include in Rental Fleet check box - This permission will give a user the ability to navigate to the Rental Rates tab of a Wholegood Master and check or uncheck the box for Include in Rental Fleet.
