Employee Time Entry Tasks Configuration

When employees use the time clock function in RIMSS, they will clock into specific tasks.  These tasks are made up of a custom list created at the dealership.  Service Technicians may clock directly into Repair Orders during their time at work.  The Repair Order time slip task is built into the system and may not be edited.  The other Time Entry Tasks may be created or edited by navigating to:

Employees > Support Lists > Time Entry Tasks

This will open the Time Entry Tasks tab in RIMSS.  You will see the existing list of system created and dealership created tasks in the list.  You must have at least one active task in the list for Employees to be able to clock in.

To add a new Time Slip Task, click on Add New at the top left of the screen.

This will prompt a pop-up for a new Time Entry Task.  There are 4 fields that you can complete in the popup.

Task: Short Name for the Task

Description: Additional Description of the Task

Type: 3 options include: Paid (Updates Payroll), Paid Time Off, and Non-Paid Time Off

Category: Optional field if you wish to set up categories for the created Time Entry Tasks

Once the pop-up has been filled out, click on OK to add the new Time Entry Task.

Once created, you can edit a Time Entry Task by double clicking on the Task in the list.  All fields on the task will remain editable.  Checking the box next to Inactive will remove the Time Entry Task from the list that users see when clocking in.
