Receiving Core Returns from Customers
When you sell a part in RIMSS that has a Core Charge configured, the system will maintain a record of the Dirty Core that is eligible for return on the Eligible Core List. To view the full Eligible Core List, navigate to Inventory > Find > Eligible Core.

You can search by Customer Name and Date Range. Fetch the list to see the details.

Receiving a Dirty Core on a POS Document (Sales Order, Repair Order, Wholegood Sales Order)
In the example below, I am receiving a dirty core on the same Sales Order as I am selling the part with the core. You can use the same process for cores that were sold on a different document.
First you will click on the button to "Apply Core Credits". This will bring up the eligible core list specific to the customer on the Document.

Select the eligible core in the pop-up and click ok. If there are multiple eligible cores in the list, you have the Part Number, Invoice Number, Invoice Date, and Amt. Rec'd. to help you determine the correct core charge(s) to refund.

The system will automatically add the same dollar amount that was charged for the core in the price field with a return quantity of -1. The line item can be deleted or edited if needed. If you delete the line item, the core will go back on the eligible list. You are now ready to Convert to Invoice and settle the document.

Receiving a Dirty Core that is not on the Eligible Core list
If you a receiving a Dirty Core that was not originally sold in RIMSS, the core will not populate on the Eligible Core list. In this situation, you can still receive the Core on the document by entering the data manually in the bottom section of the Eligible Core pop-up on a POS document.
You will click on the option to "Apply Core Credits" on the Sales Order, Repair Order, or Wholegood Sales Order in the same way as shown above.

Next you will enter the details of the Dirty Core in the bottom section of the Eligible Core pop-up. Enter the Part Number, Description, Quantity, and Price. Note that you will add a positive quantity and a negative price in the pop-up. Click "OK" after the information has been entered and verified. If you enter the quantity or price incorrectly, you can correct them on the line item after it is populated on your POS Document.

The line item will populate with a negative quantity and positive price. The line item can be fully edited after adding the Core Return. You are now ready to Convert to Invoice and settle the document.
